There is a report that a form of marriage called Polyandry is or was practised in countries such as China, Brazil, India, Tibet and Sri Lanka.
In some societies, a woman would marry up to five husbands - and surprisingly enough these may be brothers from the same family.
The woman in this case is answerable to the same degree to sexual needs of those men.
