Smart phones can be used to monitor late arrivals

A south African company - Uniclox Technologies has introduced a solution that can provide schools with up to date information on teacher attendance at any school. Headteachers and principals who are away from the school can use the system to check which teachers have clocked in for the day and at what time.

The system makes use of biometric of terminals to ensure that teachers are on the premises and can not clock in for each other. Times are accurate to the minute and substitute teachers or subcontractors can be added on the terminal in less than a minute.

This system can also be used to monitor attendance for other type of employees.
