SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES IN BELGIUM -REMINDER

The CUD (Cutting-edge International Trainings and Courses for Development) is currently seeking applications for the 2012-2013 Scholarship Program aimed at offering support to candidates from select developing countries to pursue international courses and trainings such as the European Masters in Microfinance, Master in Public Health – Guidance Health and Development, Master in International Economics and Development, Master in Development, Environment and Societies, Master in Public Health Methodology etc and courses like Internship in Management Systems Health Services – economics and resource management / planning in Belgium-based institutions.
Eligible Countries
Only candidates from developing countries are eligible to apply for the program. Countries that have been listed are:
Algeria, Bangladesh, Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, CambodiaCameroonChinaColombia, Ivory Coast, Cuba, Ecuador, EthiopiaGuatemala, Guinea, Haïti, IndiaIndonesiaKenya, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Niger, Uganda, Peru, PhilippinesDemocratic Republic of CongoRwanda, El Salvador, Senegal, Suriname, South AfricaTanzania, Palestinian territories, VietnamZambia, and Zimbabwe.
Eligibility Requirements
Age-limit for participating in the program is 40 years for the courses and 45 years for trainings. Eligible candidates will be those holding a graduate degree comparable to Belgian University graduate degree (“license”). After completion of the program, selected candidates should return back to their country and pursue work in the field in which they have undergone the course or training.
Language Requirements
Some of these courses and trainings are in French and candidates should be familiar with the language before applying for them. Nevertheless, selected candidates also need to learn French while participating in the program.
Selection Criteria
During the selection process, following criteria will be taken into account:
  • academic curriculum
  •  benefit of previous scholarships
  • Professional experience
  • Membership of a partner institution
  • commitment of the candidate to development activities
  • Nationality
  • Equality of sexes
  • Perspectives of future reinstatement
